 DL-tartaric acid (133-37-9) traits: colorless or white crystalline powder, odorless, sour taste. It is the same amount of D-and L-tartaric acid mixture, which often contain one or two crystal water, heat to 100 ℃, lost water. Stable in the air, density 1.697, the water solubility of 20.6 (20 ℃), solubility of about 1% ether, ethanol solubility 5.01 (25 ℃). Colorless crystals. Soluble in water and ethanol, slightly soluble in ether, insoluble in benzene.


 DL-tartaric acid (133-37-9) use: widely used in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, light industry and other industries. Such as beer foam, food sour agents, flavoring agents for soft drinks, candy, juice, sauces, cold dishes, baking powder, with its acidity as citric acid 1.3 times, especially suitable for sour grape juice agent. In tanning, photography, glass, ceramics, telecommunications equipment and other industries also have a very important role.
